symfonyはPHP5向けのウェブアプリケーションフレームワークです。 MVCによるロジックとプレゼンテーションの分離・柔軟で拡張が容易なプラグイン構造・徹底的にYAML化された設定・ORマッパーPropelとの融合・ヘルパーを使ったテンプレーティング・速度を改善するさまざまなキャッシュ機構・国際化対応など多くの機能を取り込みつつ精力的に開発が続けられています。その結果たくさんのサイトでsymfonyが採用され実績を上げています。
symfonyはフランスのSensioにより開発されておりMITライセンスの元配布されています。
